Southeast District D-Train 2025 – Qualification & Certification Opportunities

Our upcoming District Training Summit (D-Train) offers an outstanding lineup of program-area qualification courses and leadership development opportunities. These sessions are designed to help you expand your skills, earn new Auxiliary qualifications, and strengthen your leadership capabilities in service to our missions.
Below is a listing of the classes being offered. Please note that some courses may require prerequisites or pre-D-Train Zoom sessions. Full details are available on our D-Train registration page at https://cgauxsoutheast.org/wp/d-train-2025/.
Leadership Development
- Auxiliary Mid-Level Officer’s Course (AMLOC) – Enhances leadership skills and knowledge for members transitioning from first-line leadership (Flotilla) to mid-level leadership (Division) positions.
- Auxiliary Flotilla Leadership Course (AFLC) – Provides leadership and administrative training for members serving, or preparing to serve, as flotilla elected or appointed leaders.
Program Qualifications & Certifications
- Auxiliary Culinary Assistant Qualification Class – Qualifies members to provide culinary support at Coast Guard stations, aboard cutters, and during Auxiliary or VIP events.
- CPR/First Aid Certification – Equips members to respond to life-threatening illnesses or injuries until professional care is available. Participants earn the American Safety and Health Institute Basic CPR and First Aid Card at no cost upon completion.
- Emergency Management Activation and Deployment – Prepares members to serve effectively during activations and deployments. Completes the Activation and Deployment PQS.
- Instructor Development Course – Trains members to become certified instructors for Auxiliary programs and public education courses.
- Marine Safety Prevention Outreach Specialist (AUX-MEES) – Covers pollution prevention, relevant laws and regulations, and America’s Waterway Watch. Completes the AUX-MEES PQS.
- Public Affairs Oral Boards – Offers AUXPA3, AUXPA2, or AUXPA1 Oral Boards for designation as a Public Affairs Specialist. Contact DSO-PA Mary Patton (mary.patton@cgauxmail.org) to schedule.
- Risk Management/TCT Annual Refresher – Required annual training to maintain currency in several Auxiliary qualifications.
- Telecommunications Operator (TCO) Class – Provides knowledge and hands-on skills to earn TCO certification.
- Uninspected Passenger Vessel (UPV) Qualification Course – Prepares members to conduct vessel exams and begin pursuing UPV designation, with Verifying Officers available for PQS signoffs.
