Please join me in congratulating Auxiliarist Dan S. McIntyre of Flotilla 17-6 for being selected as the Atlantic Area East Runner-Up for the 2024 Commodore Daniel Maxim Award for Excellence in Education. This prestigious national award recognizes the very best of the Coast Guard Auxiliary’s instructors, those who go above and beyond in delivering high-quality education that supports our missions and empowers our membership.
Dan’s recognition reflects his outstanding dedication to excellence, innovation in instruction, and steadfast commitment to advancing the Auxiliary’s educational mission. Through his leadership and example, he has strengthened not only his flotilla and division, but our entire Southeast District.
Dan will receive the Auxiliary Achievement Medal and a trophy, which will be formally presented at the National Training Summit in Dallas later this month.
