Election Eligibility Requirements for 2025
8 May 2025
Election season will be here before we know it. If you are considering running for elected office this year, now is the time to confirm your eligibility and complete any required training.
As announced in ALAUX 013/24, any member seeking election to a leadership position after January 1, 2025, must meet the following mandatory leadership training prerequisites:
- Completion of the Auxiliary Administrative Procedures Course (APC); and
- Completion of either the Auxiliary Flotilla Leadership Course (AFLC) or the Auxiliary Leadership and Management School (AUXLAMS)
In addition to completing the required courses, you must ensure that these completions are accurately recorded in AUXDATA. To verify your election eligibility:
- Log into AUXDATA
- Navigate to your member record
- Select the Election Eligibility tab on the center-right portion of the screen. Your eligibility for Auxiliary offices will be indicated by a green check mark.
Please do not wait. Course availability and processing time for completions may delay eligibility if left to the last minute. By taking action now, you can ensure you’re prepared when nominations open.
Please contact your unit commander or IS officer if further assistance is required.
Thank you for your continued dedication and service to the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.
